Playing in bands from 1979 up to til the present day, "Mr Spike" a solo musician from Oxford, United Kingdom, plays eclectic music and appeals to a wide audience.

Mr Spike's big break came in 1986k, when he was asked , after a three day rehearsal, to play Bass Guitar on Sinéad O'Connor 1987 debut album The Lion and The Cobra, being a guitar player, when asked if he could play Bass for a few days, at the time, his reply was "f**K off, I'm a guitarist," the voice on the phone replied, "it's £30 a day..." the rest, as they say, is history.

Working and touring for over 25 years with artsit such as: The Dears Jack Savoretti Kate Nash, Lianne La Haves Steeleye Span Mother Mother The Hotrats Philip Sleway Newton Faulkner (Mr Spike would join Newton on Bass occasionally) , Gilbert O'Sullivan the list goes on, and working as a house engineer, at the legendary "Zodiac" in Oxford. It's no wonder Mr Spike's music is eclectic, to quote... "Working and touring with so many fantastic artists, for so many years, has been very inspiring for me".
