Dave Marsh was born in Halifax and grew up in Dartmouth , Nova Scotia . He has played with many Halifax bands including No Damn Fears , Black Pool , Bluegrass Lawnmower , The Down Thrills , The Super Friendz , and was a founding member of The Joel Plaskett Emergency, 1999 .
