Rome in Monochrome is an Italian hybrid creature, an emotionally driven post music project, the sound of swallowed fears and resignation that live in deserted and broken hearts. The journey started in 2013 and after many line-up changes and a slow process of sound definition the band released the 3 tracks debut EP Karma Anubis, followed by the full-length Away from Light.
The new full length AbyssUs encloses the urge of 8 new songs about loss, dive into life and then count the wounds.
AbyssUs starts with the ending words of Away from light and is the second act of the concept: Away from light represents the will of witnessing life from afar and not living, AbyssUs sings of you forcing yourself to live, dive into everyday storms and spend the whole night crying, counting bruises and wounds and spitting blood alone in front of the mirror.
Along the years, RIM headlined some strictly selected shows and shared the stage with many bands.
Each show is an introspective and deep experience of intimate descent in an abyss, where the band faces ghost emotions, painful memories and inner hurricanes and leads the audience by the hand to do the same.
AbyssUs is a journey into life itself, a collection of songs about rupture, a graceful abyss of melody.
