Vacancy Lyrics

Well time sometimes gets away from me
And I lost myself tryin' to make you see
Every time you cry I lose my mind

And I can't see who you need me to be
When you're lost as well in your vacancy
Locked up and waiting for the sun

'Cause it's rainin' where you are
I'm tryin' but it's too hard
It's rainin' where you are
But you can't run away from everything
So just fall back, fall back

It feels like hell when I'm dyin' inside
Searchin' to find some peace of mind
To make it seem like everything's not wrong

So just give me the key and let me in your room
I'll try my best not to make a move
I won't have to hurt you anymore

'Cause it's rainin' where you are
I'm tryin' but it's too hard
It's rainin' where you are
But you can't run away from everything
So just fall back, fall back

'Cause it's rainin' where you are
I'm tryin' but it's too hard
It's rainin' where you are
But you can't run away from everything
So just fall back on your own again

'Cause it's rainin' where you are
I'm tryin' but it's too hard
It's rainin' where you are
But you can't run away from everything
So just fall back, fall back

Time sometimes gets away from me
And I lost myself tryin' to make you see
Every time you cry I lose my mind

Socialburn originated in the mid-'90s around high-school pals Neil Alday (vocals/guitar), Dusty Price (bass), and Brandon Bittner (drums). After forming on the fly in their tiny central Florida hometown, the group expanded into the scene in nearby Tallahassee. Listeners took a liking to their straightforward post-grunge growl, and Socialburn was soon a hit at local radio. By 2000, guitarist Chris Cobb had been added and a self-released CD had dropped. SB branched out with gigs in Jacksonville and Orlando, hoping to generate label interest in an area already buzzing with the success of Creed. Another self-released disc followed, and by 2002 Socialburn's work had paid off with a deal on Elektra. They debuted in February 2003 with Where You Are, a workmanlike slice of post-grunge hard rock heavily influenced by Nirvana. Extensive touring followed, with the band joining types like Blue October, Default, and Seether out on the road. Read more on Last.fm.
