Deep Rumba is a project (produced by Kip Hanrahan) that mixes traditional Afro-Cuban music with rock and jazz drumming. The cast of heavyweight drummers includes Horacio Hernandez, Milton Cardona, Jerry Gonzalez and Puntilla. Heavy, complex drum patterns mingle with bass and traditional Rumba vocals that very occasionally click with the music.
