Recidivist were a hardcore/metal band from Edinburgh, UK. They formed in 1995 and finally split in 2002 after self-releasing a number of recordings including Driven to Distraction, Everything, From Every Angle and their last EP Mourn.

Members of Recidivist went on to form a number of other bands including Zillah and Battle of the War Machines.

Recidivist were also a Death Metal band from Poole/Bournemouth. They formed in April 2006 and broke up 1 year later.
