Srimathumitha is a leading playback singer in Tamil and telugu. Born in Chennai ( March 21st, 1988), She grew up some initial years in Bombay. She is classically trained in carnatic from Lalgudi Jayraman school and in Hindustani music and has undergone special Ghazal training that enabled her to win the All India Ghazal contest held in New Delhi when she was just 11 years old. She sang the famous Wafa ka Naanm ghazal of Runa Laila and won this.

She has the rare honour of rendering two numbers for the oscar and grammy winning Slumdog Millionaire for AR Rahman. Her songs are liquid dance and millionaire theme.

Her recent Telugu Hits Yele Yele from ganesh and Rajkumari from the same movie and the latest Ninnu Nannu from Maro Charitra in Mickey j Meyer;s Music have made her a hot Favorite among Telugu audience.

Her album Hits of MS Subbulakshmi from films Meera, shakuntalai and Savithri got released in 2001 . This made way for her debut in Playback singing with Mr. Harris Jayraj for the tamil film Laysa Laysa with the chartbuster Mudhal Mudhalai penned by veteran lyricist Vaali.
