Scrimmage is a Brooklyn-based duo fronted by Connor Lewis and Carr Bonner. The band’s sound emerges from corners of Indie, Art-Rock, Jazz, and Psychedelia. Their songs come together like a collage, sifting through old voice notes and Ableton files, breathing life into half-formed melodies and piecemeal recordings filled with the ambient hum of vacuum cleaners and the chatter of friends. Their sophomore EP Velour follows their debut EP Superego with an existential twist. The duo is headquartered in a too-small-to-occupy spare bedroom affectionately dubbed “the storage room”.
