Alte Bekannte is a German group which formed in 2017 as the spiritual successor to the band Wise Guys. The group sings a capella and classifies their music as "a-capella-pop"

Their first alnums was Wir sind da!, released in 2017, consisting completely of newly written songs in German. The album was followed by a tour the next year consisting of over 120 concerts all over Germany, many of them aold out months in advance.

After their concerts the band usually invites the audience to an "Afterglow" event where they sing one or two songs unplugged and talks with and requests feedback from the visitors.

Their latest record Bunte Socken was released in 2020 and was supposed to yet again be supported by a tour but due to the covid-19 pandemic the tour had to be postponed. During 2020 the band held several online concerts where they live streamed a concert to a paying audience. Read more on Last.fm.
