Ninot Ninot (Marionette, in Catalan) was a representative group of the Mexican rock movement in the late 80s and early 90s. Pop style with strong influences from English groups created a sober and refined sound that differed from his contemporaries. This cult band from Mexico had as members: Enric Rodamilans (bass/vocals), Jarris Margalli (guitar/vocals), Carlos Walraven (drums) and Jorge Fratta (keyboard). Jorge is now a well respected artist working under the name Fratta.

It was composed of great personalities in the history of Mexican Rock: Enric Rodamillans (at the time was Rockotitlán manager and who organized the famous Battle of the Bands, in addition to that produced many groups as Ansia and Guillotina, and directed the label Dodo, distributed by Sony Music), Jarris Margalli (musician in Mistus, La Luna Verde, Auroc and Jaguares, is now a solo artist), Carlos Walraven (drummer for Consummatum Est and audio engineer and producer of bands like Real De Catorce y Jaguares) and Fratta (follow a solo career, at first called Romántico Desliz, besides being a musician in support of artists like El Sr. González).

The band made numerous concerts in different forums of the era, such as the Gymnasium of Coyoacan, the Teatro Angela Peralta, the Tianguis Cultural Poplar, Rockotitlán, Rock Stock and facilities of the Instituto Mexicano de la Radio (Imer) City Mexico, without discounting the Rock Cicle Clinics of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), an outstanding performance in the Plaza de Toros de Guatemala and the opening concert at Radio Futura Hotel Mexico (now WTC). The group also participated in the television show of the City (Imevisión, now TV Azteca), Águila o Rock (produced by the National Council for Culture and the Arts, and broadcast by Canal Once Imevisión) and Music Futura (Televisa) .

They produced two albums: These are the Future Spaces (only includes songs in English, in fact emerged as a joke on Enric, giving the impression that it was a British band) and "Mil marionetas" (reissued on CD, including several live bonus tracks) Recorded an official video (of the song Así, como tú) and two issues were part of Mil Marionetas regular programming of the now defunct Espacio 59 (590 AM; de Núcleo Radio Mil):: Lejos de la Tierra and Tiempo perdido.

Ninot disintegrated in the early nineties by differences among its members, and had a brief meeting in the second half of this decade for a concert at the Hard Rock Cafe in Mexico City.
