It's been 3 years since Death of Paris debuted their electro-pop tinged debut album, the making of which led vocalist Jayna Doyle and keyboardist/guitarist Blake Arambula across the country to hole up in a Los Angeles recording sudio to craft the album in only two weeks. Three years kept the band heading up and down the East Coast afterward, adding in guitarist Patrick Beardsley and drummer Bryan Lee Bass, and honing their live show in basements, festivals, auditoriums, coffeeshops ...anywhere that would have them. In those three years, DOP had a lot of growing up to do, and even now, they are still growing. But after the band's third tour in two years, they promised themselves to sit still for a moment and write and record new music before hitting the road once more. This time, though, they had to up the ante.

In September the band entered an Atlanta studio with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Mayday Parade, All Time Low, We Are the In Crowd, Cartel) for a month, an amazing opportunity and rare experience for any unsigned band. By October, they emerged with an EP that has the pop characteristics of classic Death of Paris meshed with the ear for detail, songcraft and shine that Odom and Mount bring to the table.

"GOSSIP" reflects a year and a half of writing collectively as a band for the first time, and also of the band's loyal fans who helped spread the word about an album they helped fund. "GOSSIP" plays on the grey area between perception and reality, how one of the oldest and most common means of sharing facts, views and slanders can often shape the idea before the reality of it has even been experienced. Within these songs, we hope that you can be reminded of your own real experiences, as each track serves as a snapshot of our own.

All they ask is for you to keep talking
