Flash Trading is a new balearic acid sophistihouse project from Brooklyn. Flash Trading makes music that is as inspired by the modern underground electronic scene in Brooklyn, embodied by the already legendary Bossa Nova Civic Club, as it is by the music that found its home at Manchester’s The Haçienda in the 1980s and 90s. With music made entirely from analog hardware and their singer Monae Freeman's sublime vocals, Flash Trading reevaluates the arbitrary lines that have been drawn between electronic and indie music.

Flash Trading is the second signing to TAG OUT, a new record label and merchandising enterprise from Kris Petersen. Kris is the former label manager of James Murphy’s DFA Records, where for nearly six years he oversaw the majority of the day-to-day operations of the label, including signing and developing recently acclaimed acts such as Guerilla Toss, Essaie pas and Factory Floor. TAG OUT was launched officially on April 22, 2017 in Montreal, with the release of a limited edition single from SLEAZY (Marie Davidson & Ginger Breaker) at a party headlined by Helena Hauff. 2017 will see the release of a vinyl EP from SLEAZY, a compilation featuring contributions from artists such as Eric Copeland, Olive T, and Ciarra Black, and art direction for releases from Gobby and House of Feelings.
