Scarlett Seven is a rock band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee with a mission to rock. Combining distorted guitars, ethereal piano, and hard-hitting rhythms; all seven members forge an unbreakable wall of sound. With a range of influences, Scarlett Seven’s powerful vocals and dark, romantic undertones combine to form a darkly theatrical show that keeps fans coming back for more.

Like meteors destined to collide, lead singers Lori Lee and Colleen Francis met their freshman year at Belmont University. Lee had come to Nashville from Little Rock, Arkansas, where she led quintessential rock group Solstice for four years. Francis had just left Columbia, South Carolina in order to pursue her love for singing and sharpen her skills in audio engineering. Lee and Francis both stood out among the Commercial Voice department because neither really stuck to the status quo—both chose songs to sing in their seminars that were edgier and darker, and that weren’t as pop sounding.

Like sharks who have tasted blood, Lee and Francis dove deeper into the waters of rock. There in the cold, dark, deep they met Austin Decker. Decker was a recent Belmont graduate whom Lee had recorded with in the summer of 2012 to record vocals on his rock version of the popular indie/pop hit Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye. Lee and Francis knew that Decker was a talented and creative lead guitarist, and they wanted to work with him. He was quick to jump on the project, and the three began forming the group in the deepest flames of Belmont University.

Francis brought in guitarist Andrew Malone and keyboardist Mamie Adams, and Lori had already performed previously with bassist Theo Halls. The group held auditions in the basement of Halls’ sweet pad in the center of Nashville where the group has quietly been breeding a new vein of romantic rock. After a breathtaking audition, the group members had no trouble deciding that 19 year-old Nick Veno was beyond qualified for the gig.

The band has forged soul alliances with Reason To Buy Records, and Last Day’s Riot Production for their first release in May 2013. With Lee and Francis’ melodic vocals incorporated with the band’s mix of hard rock music, Scarlett Seven looks to claw its way into the music industry, one bloody rend at a time.
