Grim State are a band from Dayton, Ohio, that plays a very genuine and powerfull blend of hardcore and metal. The band is currently recording a new EP. "Who & What:
Grim State is a Metal/Hardcore band based out of Dayton, Ohio. There's no genera that can best describe what they are, the only thing that they defiantly are, is pissed off and heavy as hell. The name Grim State refers to the mind set of someone dealing with personal demise and self anguish. They play this style of music because it's what they enjoy doing and want others to join in on going crazy at shows and feel free to express themselves.

Where & When:
After playing in xLiberationx for almost four years, John, Brad and Aaron wanted to continue playing music together. Based out of Dayton, Ohio they started jamming in
Brads basement during winter of 2009 with Casey on drums. Once they began to develop their sound they took on the name Grim State, based off of an xLiberationx song and added Andy on bass.

Once they recorded their demo at Paper Tiger Studios in December they started to play shows at local venues. Almost immediately people began talking about this new heavy band. They continued writing more songs and through out the 2010 year went through some line up changes.

With Andy gone, Brad moved from guitar to bass and Hank filled the position. After a few months Casey decided it was time for him to move on and not too long after Hank quit. With Aaron, John and Brad back to square one, they started to refocus on what and where the band was going.
