Hard hitting rock and roll from the edge of America…

Number One Contender formed in early 2005 from the strongest members of several of the southeast’s most promising unsigned acts. The early weeks of this union were spent stripping everything down to find the essence that would become the NOC sound. The members agreed it was time to bring back rock. Leaving everything from their previous bands behind, each member pushed, challenged and inspired the others to a new level of playing and musicianship. The end result was raw, edgy, and passionate music that will undeniably define the future of rock and roll. The riffs are huge, the vocals are strong, and the rhythm section grooves…and you wont get the songs out of your head.

NOC has been building a following in the Carolinas for the past year and just released their debut CD "The Album" in April 2006.

The band has gotten lots of early attention with their first single "Pistola" on Charleston, South Carolina’s hard rock station 98x.
