Nymb (1) - Constituting in 1994 in Chicago, Nymb brought out original visions for the most melodious fields of guitar rock, distinguishing their creations by constructing skilled and artsy tunes that derivate from your typical verse-chorus-verse formula. During the early years, the band went through different changes in their lineup, until early 1998 when Elaine Doty (rhythm guitar, vocals), Cory Verblen (bass), Jamie Zoeller (lead guitar), and Ben Kane (drums) secured a consistent crew which remained intact until October of 2000, after Nathan Snydacker replaced Cory.
Nymb rapidly became one of the major acts at the local music scene, releasing its first disc, the "Novembre" EP, on June 16th, 1998 (Ryan Klopfenstein is credited for two tracks), and with this release, they managed to gather a respectable fan base and a considerable reputation, not only in Chicago but also beyond the windy city. Their second CD release was "The Glass Eye" EP released on April 13th, 1999, which features the hit song "Rope + Ring". After a tour in 2000, Nymb's decided to hit the studios in August - September of that year to work on their debut full-length: "So, This Is How It Is..." but shortly after its release in April 17th, 2001, the band announced their separation, biding their farewell with "Nothing New...", a limited-edition EP released on August 3rd, 2001, the same day when their played their last concert at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago.
