K-Star is an Atlanta techno troubadour with a knack for slapping together some of the most rhythmically appealing electro beats this side of the Continental Divide. But did we say which Continental Divide? No. We could be talking about the Eastern Continental Divide which happens to run right through Atlanta, meaning he's a hit in both the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico watersheds but not necessarily the Pacific Coast. That would also mean he fails to capture an international audience despite being fully available for download on the Internet. Take your pick. All this technicality is really starting to hurt my brain.

K-Star hit the music scene back in 2004 with "A Date With Fate," a track composed of an odd fusion of New Wave and hip-hop. The song's haunting, robotic delivery combined with a sarcastic and seemingly apathetic view of the uncontrollability of one's life made it stand out as a triumph of musical genius. Either that, or the beat was so damn good it made it simply as an underground dance hit. No one paid attention to the lyrics at all, which makes sense as the lyrics don't matter. Listen to the song... is the format in which Def Leppard releases its greatest hits album really that pressing (no pun intended) of an issue?

Flash forward to 2008, and K-Star is still rockin' it out in the form of the GarageBand.com-created non-genre "experimental electronica." An earful of these tracks, and you will see that he is no doubt a master of placing original notes into a loop, and copying and pasting said loops into a project for more short melodic loops to be layered over. When K-Star sings, the ladies listen. And when they listen, K-Star naturally assumes that means that they want his attention. And you know what happens when you assume...

K-Star has many new mountains to climb. He strives to one day be the first techno artist on the road to stereotypically trash a Holiday Inn. His musical endeavors are an ongoing experiment. We invite you to be our loyal test subjects. You might want to sign a waiver first however, as K-Star's music has been known to cause cancer in laboratory animals. Read more on Last.fm.
