Born in Arlington, Virginia, and educated at Yale, Lisa Moscatiello is associated with the greater Washington D.C. music scene, and with such acts as Arthur Loves Plastic, Ceoltoiri, The New St. George, The Space Dots, and Whirligig. She has recorded in variety of genres and expressed her discomfort with labels, although she has described her album "Trouble from the Start" as "acid cabaret."
