Singer-songwriter Shari Short is nothing less than a force of nature. At 21, she has already accomplished more than some people aspire to in a lifetime. Her first CD, "I'm Living," debuted to glowing reviews and went straight to #1 for 7 weeks in the Pacific Northwest. She was invited to spend a year touring with and opening for a major act. And not long after relocating to Los Angeles, she has already attracted the attention of writers and producers. With her driven personality and exceptional talent, there is no limit to how far Shari will take her career in music.
Born in the small town of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Shari has always stood out as someone destined for the spotlight. In 2000, she entered the Miss Teen Idaho pageant, thinking it was going to be a talent competition. She arrived, guitar in hand, only to discover it was a swimsuit competition. She quickly found something to wear, and in true Shari form, not only took the crown, but also won out over girls with several more years experience.
During preparations for the competition, Shari met Jodi Russell, wife of Air Supply lead singer Graham Russell. Jodi introduced Shari to the band members, who were floored by her talent and asked her to tour with them. Shari spent 12 months traveling and performing across the US and Canada.
Shari is currently working with writers and producers in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York on songs for an upcoming album. Shari's songs have been featured in film and television, and she continually packs the houses during live performances around LA.
