What In the World? Lyrics

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?
Was it really worth it to you?
Was the moment that good to you?
What in the world were you thinkin' of?

Cryin', dyin', out of my mind, don't know what to do
Starin', comparin', I can't believe he had his hands on you
While I was gone you did me wrong, you had your fun
Now it's my, my turn, I guess you're the unlucky one

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?
Was it really worth it to you?
Was the moment that good to you?
What in the world were you thinkin' of?

Spacin', pacin', I'm tryin' hard not to lose my cool
Tricky, you slipped in, disappointed me, you stupid pitiful
You should have known that I'm the pro
You've only just begun

Now love is done, fuck that one on one
Back to the player I was before
I was the best thing for you, it's just a matter of time
I'll be the one you're runnin' back to

He bought you diamond rings and expensive things
Trip to the Bahamas, so you became his little free mama
Unsatisfied with his lovin', now you're callin' me
To break you up or little somethin'

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?
Was it really worth it to you?
Was the moment that good to you?
What in the world were you thinkin' of?

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?
Was it really worth it to you?
Was the moment that good to you?
What in the world were you thinkin' of?

He bought you diamond rings and expensive things
Trip to the Bahamas, so you became his little free mama
Unsatisfied with his loving, now you're callin' me
To break you up for little somethin'

I had you comin', I got you goin'
I got the bomb and now you know it
What in the world, in the world, in the world

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?
Was it really worth it to you?
Was the moment that good to you?
What in the world were you thinkin' of?

What in the world were you thinkin' of
When you decided you would chance our love?

Somethin' for the People was an R&B group from Los Angeles, California, USA who scored several hits in the US in the late 1990s.

The group was founded in 1990 by Curtis "Sauce" Wilson and Jeff "Fuzzy" Young, both from Oakland, California, along with Los Angeles native Rochad "Cat Daddy" Holiday. The group recorded demos and shopped them around LA, and signed with Capitol Records, who released their debut in 1993. As songwriters, they wrote tunes for Samuelle, En Vogue, Brandy, and U.N.V.. Switching to Warner Bros. Records, they re-released their debut album in 1996. Their second album, This Time It's Personal, spawned a major hit in the US and Canada, the gold-selling "My Love is the SHHH!", and the group did further work as songwriters in the wake of the tune's success, penning tracks for Will Smith and Adina Howard. A third LP, Issues, followed in July 2000. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
