Cherno (1): Cherno are an alternative acoustic pop band from Lancashire, North-West England. Comprising of long-term pals Will, Ste and Jay, Cherno formed in 2005 and have played shows across the country.

Taking influence from an array of musical genres, Cherno bring a feel-good, summer vibe to every show they play. After some line-up changes the band have recently settled as a three-piece, with guitarist Will replacing Andy Leat as lead vocalist.

After three years of entertaining single figure to triple figure crowds, it became apparent that Cherno weren't like most other bands they found themselves sharing a stage with. Swapping drums for a cajon, guitar solo's for charming melodies and mosh-pits for a dance routine, Cherno carved themselves a niche in the local music scene.

Cherno released their debut recording, The ABCD EP, in aid of Cancer Research UK in 2006. The independently released four track sold out within weeks. Cherno have played alongside bands including I Was A Cub Scout, Tellison, Out of Sight, Gavin Osborn, The Honeymoon Suite, Kill The Arcade and Lost on Campus, amongst others.

With renewed drive and determination, Cherno are in the process of recording new material. They plan to return to the live scene in the near future, supported as always by their army of loyal fans. And Will's mum.
