Why Did You Marry Lyrics

Why did you marry oh why did you marry
You could have been an actress
You could have been a doctor
You could have been somebody
People wish they knew

Why did you marry oh why did you marry
Did no one ever tell you to fly to the moon
To not get tied down too soon
To shop around

Oh all the places you'd go all the folks
You meet, they'll say that honey you still got it
But know that was 20's some march years ago
Today you're just getting by
You're just getting by

Why did you marry, oh why did you marry
Did somebody convinced you through ... and songs
That you could be happy
Just tagging along

All the places you'd go all the folks you'd meet
They'd say honey thank god you didn't end up
Like all of the other girls on your street
They're just getting by, they're just getting by

But I think that I know yes I know why you marry
It's just like in the movies and ...plays
Where no one ever says, thanks carry grant
But I think I'll jus get my own place

Oh all the places you'd go all the folks
You meet, they'll say that honey you still got it
And guess what, we've all got it too
So pull off a seat
We're just getting by, we're just getting by.

Nataly Dawn is American singer, songwriter and musician Natalie Knutsen (born October 29, 1986). She is one half of the duo Pomplamoose with her husband Jack Conte and released her first solo album, How I Knew Her, on Nonesuch Records on February 12, 2013.

She started off in L.A., moved to France at the age of ten, spent a few years in Belgium and then scurried on back to California to pursue an education in art and French literature.

She makes music as often as possible, to keep herself sane and happy. She dabbles around with piano, guitar and bass (her favorite instrument), but does not consider herself an expert at any of them. Mostly she enjoys singing and inventing odd harmonies.

She entered the YouTube music movement thanks to her boyfriend, Jack Conte, and together they have started a collaboration called Pomplamoose. Their music can be heard at either their official Myspace or official YouTube. Nataly is still in denial about wanting to be a full-time musician, but deep down inside she knows that there is nothing that makes her happier than making art and sharing it with lovely listeners such as yourself.

In addition to her music being available in CD form, songs can be downloaded from her official Myspace myspace.com/natalydawn and videos (and occasionally Vlogs) can be found on her official YouTube page youtube.com/NatalyDawn.
