There are at least two artists by the name Garda:
(1) An accoustic Folk music collective from the area around Dresden, Germany.
(2) A Melodic/Hardcore band from Grand Rapids, MI.

(1) Garda is a music collective of nine musicians around Kai Lehmann (vocals and guitar) and Ronny Wunderwald (drums). They are joined by Neli Mothes (piano, accordion, vocals, clarinet), Lars Hiller and Frank Heim (guitars), Karsten Pretschner (bass), Gunther Strehlau (horn), Bernd Wunderwald (trumpet) and Markus Altmann (Cello). They are playing accoustic folk music. Records: The Sound of Bronkow (sampler) (2007), Go on Dance and Explode! (EP) (2007), Die, Technique, Die (Album) (2008)

(2) Garda is a 5 piece Melodic/Hardcore band from Grand Rapids, MI. Formed January of 2008, Garda is made up of former Rise members Mark Paniwozik (Guitar) Kyle Stevenson (Drums) and Glenn Unrath (Guitar) They added Ryan Lennon on Vocals, and Matt Meppelink on Bass.

Garda put out a self released EP in May of 2008. They have been playing show all around Michigan, and plan to tour later summer of '08. You can see more on Garda by checking their myspace page. www.myspace.com/gardametal
