My Own Abyss is a four‑piece metalcore band from Poland, based in Kraków and active on the scene since around 2016. The band plays modern metalcore, in which classic heavy riffs and screams blend with electronic elements and catchy choruses in the style of contemporary metalcore.

The band debuted with the EP “Abyss EP” at the end of 2018. In the following years their catalog grew to include, among others, metalcore covers of “Sweet But Psycho” (Ava Max, 2019) and “Flowers” (Miley Cyrus, 2023), as well as original singles released in 2023: “Let’s Go W!LD”, “The First Nail”, and “Without Control”.

Based on a collaboration with American producer Matt Thomas, the mini‑album “Dead End” was created and released on April 5, 2024. On October 11, 2024 they put out the single “Memories”, and in 2025 they released a Polish‑language single, “Taki Sam”.

My Own Abyss tour intensively across Poland and neighboring countries, building their name as one of the recognized acts on the Polish metalcore scene. Their shows are built around a powerful performance with precisely synchronized lighting, creating a spectacle that combines music with a strong visual setting.

The band regularly appears at festivals in Poland and abroad; in June 2025 they played, among others, at Rock For People alongside names such as Slipknot, Linkin Park and Avenged Sevenfold. In spring 2025 they announced the “Wiosna 2025 TOUR”, with shows in cities such as Olsztyn, Białystok and Bydgoszcz.

The sound of My Own Abyss is based on contrasts: massive breakdowns and aggressive verses flow into melodic, often arena‑sized choruses, boosted by electronics and modern production. The lyrics touch on themes of personal struggle, memory, internal conflict and the drive for change, which can be heard, among others, in the tracks “Memories” and “Taki Sam”.
