Sara Petite is originally from the city of Sumner WA but has relocated to San Diego, CA. Her music often incorporates accordian, pedal steel guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and accordion.

In 2006 her song Coming Home won the "Best Song Award" in the Country/Americana category at the 2006 Portland Songwriting Contest.
