Tamae is a Detroit-based RnB singer-songwriter known for her talent of crafting clever hooks and tongue-in-cheek wordplay. In 2017, she began collaborating with producer Lyric Le'son in marathon-long recording sessions, crafting her lyrical witticisms and vocal techniques. Together they created a union that is aimed to break barriers between Asian and Black cultures through the representation of their partnership.

After several "Pass the Aux" sessions with well-known hip-hop producer, Illmind, Tamæ began expanding her creativity with in-studio sessions featuring the likes of Russ, Ryan Trey, and BLXST. In September 2021, Tamae was featured on Atlanta-rapper Russ's hit single "Seduce," which as of early 2022 has garnered over 60 million plays on streaming platforms.
