Gray Sky Girls are Naomi Sommers and Lisa Bastoni, two songwriters who met on the Boston folk scene. A shared passion for traditional folk and country drew them together -- singing back-up for one another on a street corner in Harvard Square was their official debut as a duo.

Over the last two years the Gray Sky Girls have developed their act, paying musical tribute to their favorite bluegrass, folk and early country songs while weaving in our own original and complementary material. They accompany themselves on guitar, banjo and mandolin--but the real focus is the honey-sweet, close-harmony singing they both love.

The Gray Sky Girls are now based out of Northampton, MA, and perform regularly throughout New England and across the country. Most recently they completed a successful tour of the Midwest in promotion of their debut album. This self-titled record, on American Melody Records, has already reached #24 out of the top 100 albums on the international FolkDJ radio charts, in just three short weeks since its release.
