Youth Quake Lyrics

Waitin' on the bat race fly about
Listenin' to Coltrane all sold out
Take us to the motorbike racing track
Put it into gear and you give it gas

Plug it in on the left side, let it charge
Bring it to the place
Where the youth quakes hard

Come back to the jam where it all went down
Hear it all the way from the beach to the town

Hold on Hold on Hold on Hold on
Take it to the east side and tear it down

Play it for the kids all dressed in black
Power up the volume and give it back
The westside girls meet eastside boys
Doesn't really matter if they bring the noise

Kickin' up the youth quake all around
Forget about the rest in this shambled town
So they all beat the test and they're better off for it

Hold on Hold on Hold on Hold on

Power up, power down
Straight to the point 'til it's broken down

Race at go and we lead the charge
We work all night and we play real hard
They pass go and foretold the rest
It was a dirty little lie better left unsaid

Soul desire still unmatched
Said we gotta keep it pure for the sake of it

Play it for the kids all dressed in black
Power up the volume and give it back
The westside girls meet eastside boys
Doesn't really matter if they bring the noise

In 2012, former Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland formed a new backing band named the Wildabouts, with Tommy Black (bass guitar), Jeremy Brown (guitar), Doug Green (guitar/keynoard), and Danny Thompson (drums). Together, they only released one album, "Blaster", which was released on March 31, 2015. Brown had died one day before the album's release. On December 3, 2015, while on tour supporting the album, Weiland was found dead from an overdose inside the band's tour bus. He was 48 years old. Read more on Last.fm.
