Sudhir Pandey is one of India's leading tabla players. He started his training, at age 8, with his father Arjun Pandey and Bhagwat Singh of Ajrada (Delhi and Benaras styles). Pandey has attained a beautiful combination of these traditional schools. He is an A grade artiste on India's national radio and television. His reputation put him in demand with renowned artists such as Vilayat Khan, Nikhil Banerji, Amjad Ali Khan, Girija Devi, Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Ramnarayan, and Rajan -Sajan Mishra.
Sudhir has also been awarded a national fellowship by the Indian government for improving the cultural heritage of the country. He has toured Europe and Asia.
