Chemical Compound is a solo project by Benjamin Costermans.

Benjamin was born in Leuven, Belgium, on the 12th of April in 1982. Apart from sometimes being found drumming away on the pots and pans in his mother's kitchen, nothing very musical was happening in his life until the age of 12. At this age, he discovered the first releases on Bonzai Records. Although this music didn't sound like anything he had ever heard before, he quickly found himself in love with electronic music.

Over the years, Benjamin has acquired a respectable music collection, that now includes many songs that he had to look long and hard for. But in 2009, merely collecting music didn't quite cut it for him any more. He wanted to create music himself, and a few months later the first "Evil Coffee" -Benjamin's first pseudonym- tracks appeared here on last.fm.

"Chemical Compound" is the second solo project started by Benjamin Costermans. Because the songs made under the pseudonym Evil Coffee often lacked direction and experience, and were sometimes produced a bit hastily, Benjamin has decided to stop using this name.

"Chemical Compound" stands for a new start, with more experience, more direction -since all CC songs will be techhouse songs- and a more thought through approach to producing music.
