Mercedes Band is an Israeli Funk-Rock band, famous for their catchy bass lines, witty lyrics and ex-centric lead singer.
The band formed in Jerusalem with Gal Toren (Vocals), Ronen Cochavi (Guitar), Ariel Sharkovski (Bass) and Uri Gat (Drums), but since then changed it's lineup to include Guy Shemi on guitar, replacing Ronen and Yoni Cohen on Bass instead of Ariel.
Their self titled debut album became a hit thanks to radio hits "The Mercedes" and "Boe Venavi Lakh TaFunk" (from Hebrew: "Come, and we'll bring you the Funk"). Their second album, "Taviu Birot" (Bring Beers), is being sold only at their live shows, since record companies are banning the album for an indecent picture on the sleeve, showing two naked underage boys with [obviously fake] tatoos.
