EGWG was formed in 2006 in Brooklyn, NYC, as an instrumental project of Rob Christiansen. Rob previously played in Teenbeat, Simple Machines, Darla, Shimmy Disk, and 555 bands, Eggs (trombone and guitar), Grenadine (drums), Tsunami (bass, briefly). Viva Satellite (guitar), and The Sisterhood of Convoluted Thinkers. In the post-label era, he has drummed in the bands, Stick Insect, The Shot Heard Round the World, Fulton Lights, The Stevensons, Volut, and Maxi Geil and Playcolt, and played guitar in The Gazetteers.
