Formed in 2021 by Eli Ecroinard, Skrikkeljaar is a emo/pop punk band from Pretoria, South Africa. Eli and Chris met in grade 8 and started to play music together along with some other kids.

After a line up change Skrikkeljaar went on to release singles known as ''wies nie weird nie?'' and ''daybreak in pretoria'' in 2024

Their passionate and high energy performances have earned them a reputation as a must-see local act, with numerous DIY shows under their belt

Skrikkeljaar's sound is easy to identify right off the bat, as the Skrikkeljaar boys are bringing 2000s pop punk back.

Lead singer Eli Ecroignard is extremely passionate about the scene and genre. Eli's aim is to revolutionise the Afrikaans music scene and educate the masses.

Their sound unmistakeably draws inspiration from bands such as: Glaskas, Asian kung fu generation, Blink 182, Marrieta, Sum 41, Young Culture and Neck Deep.
