R.A.P. Ferreira (formerly Milo) and producer Kenny Segal form one of the key rapper–producer duos in contemporary underground hip-hop. Their work together blends Ferreira’s dense, philosophical lyricism with Segal’s warm, jazz-leaning, experimentally textured beats. They first gained major underground attention with So the Flies Don’t Come (2015), widely regarded as a landmark in abstract hip-hop. Since then, Segal has continued to produce defining tracks for Ferreira — most prominently on Purple Moonlight Pages (2020), which highlighted a fuller band-driven sound via The Jefferson Park Boys.
