.foundation or "null foundation" is an ambient, drone, and soundscape project from Artist and Computer Engineer Jake Carter.

The ultimate vision for this project is to package both audio and visual components into one seamless experience, transporting the listener into a handcrafted world of sound, color, and texture. Eventually, the project will include a ".foundation" file for each album, which will house a custom audio-visual experience. Work is underway on the visualizer, which will emphasize procedurally generated live adaptive visuals. The current alpha version is running on OpenGL, which will be able to run cross-platform.
