Surazo is a group of musicians from Bolivia, a country rich in contrasts - from the tropical south to the rugged highlands of the Andes. The Bolivian-indian folk band Surazo is introducing a new dimension of the Andean music. Some songs are based on the traditional, Indian rhythms and some are about the feelings and experiences of the musicians, describing life in Bolivia, but also tell the story of the social and economic problems and the sad history of Bolivia.
The musical instruments that Surazo members are playing are partly self-made​​ and are part of the Indian culture: the wind instruments Quena and Zampoña, the string instruments (spanish guitar) and the Charango and Ronroco - indigenous percussion instruments.
