0decathexis0 blend two disparate genres into a harsh and heavenly blend. It began as a "what if" idea from someone who enjoys grindcore and shoegaze equally. Buried under layers of feedback, reverb and distortion is despair, loneliness, escapism from these things through pop culture obsession and a murder mystery.
They released three albums and a demo under that moniker, and then changed the name in 2018 partly due to the murder mystery (about a love triangle gone wrong) and partly because the name was "easier to design a cool black metal logo for".
The name was changed on all releases, but the first album written under the new name will reveal killer in the mystery.
