Around Again Lyrics

Okay, all right
Turn your light on, off again
You know you shouldn't, but then again

Just when you're coming on, you're stuck in a rut
You get the feeling you're wasting your time
Whole generation's lost anyway
And what's worse, it gave it away
Go slow, go slow, go slow, go slow

Okay
Turn your light on, off again
I know I shouldn't, but then again

Hey friend, you got a mansion, I wish you had a song
Hey friend, you're a poet and you knew it all along
Every night you start sleeping with a stone in your bed
Yeah, there's some things you can't push away
Go slow, go slow, go slow, go slow, go slow

I'm coming up, I'm coming up
But then a feeling creeps up again
Yeah, it's coming, and it's coming

Okay, I get it, I know where you want me
But what's in it for me, I'm looking for something
Look at my hands, my chest, my face
I'll take a ride, I don't care where it's going

Turn your light off, on again
Yeah, there's something up ahead
And it's coming, yeah I hear it
Yeah, it's coming, yeah it's coming

What about about this natural, what's wrong with being wrong
What the hell, we'll ride even the black
Every night I start sleeping with a stone in my bed
There are some things you can't push away
Whatever's calling, forget it, I lost it
Too much of nothing is how I found it
All that I'm beating is baseless and lying
And all around the shots tight, tight, tight, tight
Go slow, go slow, go slow, go slow
It's coming, it's coming, I hear it, it's coming

Why is it you can't stand in the sun but you can stick your head in a bucket of water and breathe in deep?

We have reached the intermission
We have reached the intermission
And the Lord is in attendance
And the Lord is in attendance

We have reached the intermission
We have reached the intermission
And we can ask him all our questions
And we can ask him all our questions, I know I will

Like are we halfway there yet?
Or are we lost forever?
Are we lost forever?

Okay
We have reached the intermission
And it's time to ask your questions
Like have we lost the rhythm?
Yeah, have we lost the rhythm?

Are we halfway there yet?
Is it the same distance forward and back again?
Or are we there already?
Are we there already?

And we've just lost the rhythm
Yeah, have we lost the rhythm?
Can we wake up and start again?
Or have we lost the rhythm?

Ought is a band formed in Montreal, Canada.

Guitarist and vocalist Tim Darcy, originally a folk musician hailing from New Hampshire, fell in with New Jersey native Matt May (keyboards) and Australian émigré Tim Keen (drums, violin) – the three of them began sharing an apartment that doubled as practice space, where they were soon joined by Portland,OR transplant Ben Stidworthy on bass. Ought played its first show and recorded its first "New Calm EP" in the apartment's largest bedroom, in the summer of 2012. The band busted out into the city's loft circuit, and into the city streets during the Printemps d'Erable Quebec student general strike, in the spring of the same year.

Following another recording session in early 2013 and the release of a second EP via Bandcamp, Ought spent a few days at the Hotel2Tango studio with engineer Radwan Moumneh (Suuns, Matana Roberts, Jerusalem In My Heart) in fall 2013 at the invitation of Constellation, laying down a clutch of songs new and old that comprise the band's first "proper" full-length album. More Than Any Other Day was released by Constellation on April 29, 2014.

A 24-minute, four-track EP followed on October 28. Once More With Feeling... was released as a 10" and digital. Pill was chosen as the title track.
