The Weather Song Lyrics

Tell me what to do,
and when to feel alive,
'cause what you're pushing's keeping me in time, now.
Now that we are high,
with a limit on life,
and what you're pushing's keeping you in time now.
The limit's on the inside,
and there's no inside at all,
and there's nothing keeping you from shouting out loud
that you believe in more than keeping time with life,
and there's nothing keeping you from shouting to the wall,
over it all that I,
just wanna revel in your lies
does it any way too.
Yeah I,
just wanna revel in you lies
does it any way too.
Yeah we got to thinking we won't take it anymore,
we won't take it anymore,
take it anymore.
Yeah I,
just wanna revel in you lies
does it any way too.
We're tied to the floor and then back to the wall,
then everything is down
and there's no up at all.
Tell me what the weather's like,
so I don't have to go outside,
and I'll shut up and spend a week inside my head.
When you cannot find,
find yourseld at night,
well don't bother mentioning you think it's cold tonight
or that you believe in more than keeping time with life,
and the education's wrapped in the medication.
Time again until the feeling's gone and
nothing's keeping you from shouting to the wall,
over it all that I,
just wanna revel in your lies
does it any way too.
Yeah I,
just wanna revel in your lies
does it any way too.
Yeah we got to thinking we won't take it anymore,
we won't take it anymore,
take it anymore.
Yeah I,
just wanna revel in your lies
does it any way too.
They're tied to the floor and then back to the wall,
then everything is down and there's no up at all.
Tell me what to do,
and when to feel alive,
and tell me what the weather's like
so I don't have to go outside.
And I,
yeah I,
think there's something that you missed,
went like this:
That I believe in more than keeping time with life,
and the education's wrapped in the medication.
And that time again until the feeling's gone,
and that there's nothing keeping me from shouting to the wall,
over it all that I,
just want to revel in your lies
does it any way too.
Yeah I,
just want to revel in your lies
does it any way too.
And we got to thinking we won't take it anymore,
we won't take it anymore,
take it anymore.
Yeah I,
just want to revel in your lies
does it any way too.
Doesn't even matter if we won't say it anymore,
we won't take it anymore,
take it anymore.

Ought is a band formed in Montreal, Canada.

Guitarist and vocalist Tim Darcy, originally a folk musician hailing from New Hampshire, fell in with New Jersey native Matt May (keyboards) and Australian émigré Tim Keen (drums, violin) – the three of them began sharing an apartment that doubled as practice space, where they were soon joined by Portland,OR transplant Ben Stidworthy on bass. Ought played its first show and recorded its first "New Calm EP" in the apartment's largest bedroom, in the summer of 2012. The band busted out into the city's loft circuit, and into the city streets during the Printemps d'Erable Quebec student general strike, in the spring of the same year.

Following another recording session in early 2013 and the release of a second EP via Bandcamp, Ought spent a few days at the Hotel2Tango studio with engineer Radwan Moumneh (Suuns, Matana Roberts, Jerusalem In My Heart) in fall 2013 at the invitation of Constellation, laying down a clutch of songs new and old that comprise the band's first "proper" full-length album. More Than Any Other Day was released by Constellation on April 29, 2014.

A 24-minute, four-track EP followed on October 28. Once More With Feeling... was released as a 10" and digital. Pill was chosen as the title track.
