Dominoes Lyrics

Steam was rising in the Asian quarter
When she stepped out in the street
Voices dropped and every eye was on her
As she braved the midnight heat

Dominique, she was a cool oasis
She could soothe the burning heart
Dreams of passion written on their faces
One by one they fall apart

Soldiers of fortune surrender like children
And follow wherever she leads

And they all fall down
It's one more night of
(Dominoes, dominoes)
Every heart is falling
But something else is calling her into the night
Can't you hear me?
(Dominoes, dominoes)
I'm coming back to find you
Don't let the shadows blind you from love when it's mine

To eyes that stared she never shared emotion
It's a secret that she keeps
And no one sees the tears that I see falling
Urgent whispers calling me

Conquering heroes have soon fallen prey
To that far away look in her eyes

And they all fall down
It's one more night of
(Dominoes, dominoes)
Every heart is falling
But something else is calling her into the night
Can't you hear me?
(Dominoes, dominoes)
I'm coming back to find you
Don't let the shadows blind you from love when it's mine

And they all fall down
And they all fall down
Can't you hear me?
(Dominoes, dominoes)
Every heart is falling
But something else is calling her into the night
Can't you hear me?
(Dominoes, dominoes)
I'm coming back to find you
Don't let the shadows blind you from love when it's mine

(Dominoes, dominoes)
Every heart is falling
But something else is calling her into the night
Can't you hear me?
(Dominoes, dominoes)
I'm coming back to find you
Don't let the shadows blind you from love when it's mine
When it's mine
(Dominoes, dominoes)

Robbie Nevil is an American pop singer/songwriter/guitarist. He was born Robert S Nevil on 10 February 1960 in Los Angeles, California. His surname is often mis-spelled 'Neville'.

Nevil's self-titled debut album in 1986 gave him a string of Hot 100 hits, although his subsequent albums were not as successful. He is best remembered for the song "C'est La Vie," a #1 dance hit that spent two weeks at #2 on the Hot 100 in early 1987.

Between 1986 and 1991, Robbie Nevil recorded three solo albums, the self-titled first being the most successful. It was produced by Alex Sadkin and recorded in England. Prior to this, he was involved in writing material for other Top 40 acts. Nevil also sang a duet with female vocalist Courtney Love at the funeral service for American pop artist Andy Warhol.

In recent years, Nevil has been more involved in producing and writing for other artists than in solo performance. He co-wrote three songs on the chart-topping High School Musical Soundtrack: "The Start of Something New", "We're All In This Together" and "I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You." Read more on Last.fm.
