Hunting Happiness Lyrics

Beautiful lights shine like champions
But I found the fault on the stars
Cause I'm so caught up hunting happiness
That I cannot see its hunting me

The moment I started feeling comfortble
I hear a voice in my head
Fast cars paint blue on the paivement
Don't look back, find greener grass

The road to paradise is easy to pass
You'll never see the sun
If you're moving too fast
I'm so caught up hunting happiness
I move so quickly that it can't catch me

uuuuh uh uh uh
uuuuh uh uh uh

Show me a side of a miracle
And I'll find the dirt on the frame
It's easy chasing a ...
Trust in your heart or rip mine apart

The road to paradise is easy to pass
You'll never see the side
If you're moving too fast
I'm so caugh up hunting happiness
I move so quickly that it can't catch me

uuuuh uh uh uh
uuuuh uh uh uh uh uh
uuuuh uh uh uh uh uh
uuuuuuh uuuh

If I could've stay still
Just for a minute
I find myself in it

If I could see clear
And count all my blessings
Instead of the seconds

ooooh

The road to paradise is easy to pass
You'll never see the side
If you're moving too fast
I'm so caugh up hunting happiness
I move so quickly that it can't catch me

uuuuuuuh uh uh uh uh
uuuuuh uuh uh uh
uuuuuuh uh uh uh uh uh uh

Hayley Gene Penner (formerly known as W. Darling) is a singer-songwriter born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She grew up sharing the stage with her father; iconic Canadian family entertainer Fred Penner.

Penner spent her first four years in LA in a sort of songwriting bootcamp. Learning the ins and outs of the industry and yes, sleeping in a closet in a house with seven men. As is the case with many new-to-LA artists, Penner got swallowed up in the industry and spent the last two years redefining what it means to be authentic. What it means to protect your identity and own your flaws with kindness, compassion and acceptance.

After making and shelving four albums in the process of finding her true self, she is now stepping out as a classic singer-songwriter with a focus on story telling. More specifically, telling her story. Her debut album, People You Follow, is a brave, fearless and self-explorative dive into vulnerability and the inevitable shifts that occur when we stare down the barrel of our flaws and own them.
