Learn To Love Lyrics

You can win every fight that you start
Never caring who you rip apart
If you don't get your way you can borrow or pay
but you're nothing till you learn to love
You've got nothing till you learn to love

Until it feels like a rush of blood to your head
A rush of blood to your heart
A rush of blood to your body

Until it feels like you'd give whatever you got
You'd get whatever they want
You'd stop for no one or nothing

And oh, if you give a little
you're gonna get a lot more
And oh, you're broke inside and I can feel it
Oh, I can fix what you've done
If you can learn to love

You can stand with a shield at your side
Never breaking protecting your pride
But you can't really win if you've nothing to lose
Cause you're nothing till you learn you love

Until it feels like a rush of blood to your head
A rush of blood to your heart
A rush of blood to your body

Until it feels like a rush of blood to your head
A rush of blood to your heart
A rush of blood to your body

Hayley Gene Penner (formerly known as W. Darling) is a singer-songwriter born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She grew up sharing the stage with her father; iconic Canadian family entertainer Fred Penner.

Penner spent her first four years in LA in a sort of songwriting bootcamp. Learning the ins and outs of the industry and yes, sleeping in a closet in a house with seven men. As is the case with many new-to-LA artists, Penner got swallowed up in the industry and spent the last two years redefining what it means to be authentic. What it means to protect your identity and own your flaws with kindness, compassion and acceptance.

After making and shelving four albums in the process of finding her true self, she is now stepping out as a classic singer-songwriter with a focus on story telling. More specifically, telling her story. Her debut album, People You Follow, is a brave, fearless and self-explorative dive into vulnerability and the inevitable shifts that occur when we stare down the barrel of our flaws and own them.
