Love Hurts Lyrics

If I had my way
Truly had my way
Our love would never
Love would never have died

Was it wrong of me
Wrong of me to think
That you'll always
Be here by my side

Girl I wish you would explain to me
My own act
I'm not deservant
Deservant of your love
I'm filled with pain and so much agony
And God, how it hurts
So deep, it's killing me, baby cause

Love hurts
Guilty or be innocent
It don't make no difference
Love don't love nobody
I'm telling you
Love hurts (ooh, it's gonna bring you down)
Though you might be innocent (you could be innocent)
Love treats you no different
Not from anyone (no, not from anyone)

Yes you were my world
Truly my whole world
And I could never love this way again

Tell me how this man (ooh)
Mends his broken heart
Could find all the pieces
And knowing it's the end

I know a man is not suppose to cry
But why not
I can't keep holding
Holding this style
If you could feel my pain and agony
Oh girl you would hurl so clear
'Cause it's killing me, baby

Love hurts (don't you know it, baby)
Guilty or be innocent (you could be innocent)
It don't make no difference
Love don't love nobody (no one)
I'm telling you
Love hurts (ooh)
Though you might be innocent (innocent, guilty)
Love treats you no different
Not from anyone (no, not from anyone)

All I know is that I give my best to love you
But maybe sometimes love just isn't meant to
Isn't meant to be baby
How I wish that love would sparry up this feeling
Because the pain inside, inside
Can't I, Can't, I can't hide how it's killing me, yeah

(oh babe
Never felt pain like this before baby
It's killing me)

I'm telling you
Love hurts (oh it hurt me baby)
Guilty or be innocent (innocent, guilty)
It don't make no difference
Love don't love nobody (no no, no no no no)
I'm telling you
Love hurts (ooh, i's gonna bring you down)
Though you might be innocent (you could be innocent)
Love treats you no different
Not from anyone (no, not from anyone)

I tell you love don't love nobody
Baby when you really think about it
Cause every chance we take, a heart can break
Maybe that's the chance we have to chase

Tell me love is never easy
Say if you take control of you completly
But if I had my way, our love would stay
Maybe I would never feel this pain

Love hurts
Guilty or be innocent (innocent, guilty)
It don't make no difference
Love don't love nobody (don't love, love no one)
I'm telling you
Love hurts (love hurt me, baby)
Though you might be innocent (you could be innocent)
Love treats you no different
Not from anyone (no, not from anyone)

Ralph Tresvant, aka Rizz (born Ralph Edward Tresvant Jr., on May 16, 1968 in Roxbury, Massachusetts) is an American tenor singer, best known as one of the lead singers in R&B act New Edition.

Tresvant sang lead on many of the New Edition lead singles including "Candy Girl", "Cool It Now" and "If It Isn't Love". Tresvant led the group from 1983 to 1989.

Despite the success of groupmates Bobby Brown, Bell Biv DeVoe, and Johnny Gill, Tresvant was cautious about his own solo career. Signing to MCA Records, Tresvant let his apprehension be known in several interviews.

Nevertheless, well-known producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were confident in his abilities after having worked with him on the album Heart Break. They wrote the song "Sensitivity" for him which hit #1 on the R&B charts, #4 on the Hot 100 and it went gold. His self-titled album released shortly after in 1990 and went platinum as well, topping the R&B charts. The album scored two more hits with "Stone Cold Gentleman" reaching #3 on the R&B charts and "Do What I Gotta Do" which reached #2.

Tresvant appeared in the movie House Party 2 in 1991 and the play, "The Man Of Her Dreams" in 2002. In 1993, he released his second album, It's Goin' Down. The album gave Tresvant greater involvement as he produced many of the tracks himself. However, perhaps due to limited promotion, the album failed to perform commercially as well as the debut.

In October 2004 "Sensitivity" appeared in popular videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on R&B/Soul radio station CSR 103.9.

On September 18, 2004, he married Amber Serrano.

Ralph's third solo album, Rizz Wa Faire, was released March 7, 2006. The first single from the album was "My Homegirl".

Tresvant will portray Reverend Winter in the 2008 film, Mama, I Want to Sing! starring pop-R&B singer Ciara. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
