Stumblepit Lyrics

bury the needle to puncture my eye
healing the wound as a nation divides
sacrificed virtue to compensate pride
symptoms are buried behind all the lies

why do we stumble around
why do we stumble around

this new appliance will feed us, bleed us
tear us apart, make us whole
this awkward science will need us, bleed us
tear us apart, take control

reason presents us with choices to guide
choosing a weapon or choosing a side
logic unbiased will draw us a line
choose to ignore it or choose to decide

why do we stumble around
why do we stumble around
with no direction
with no perception
with no control

this new appliance will feed us, bleed us
tear us apart, make us whole
this awkward science will need us, bleed us
tear us apart, take control

i'm sick and tired of no solution
i'm strung and wired from finding hope
i've built a pyre of retribution
its open wide, i'm still inside

still inside i'm still inside

why do we stumble around
with no direction, with no control

Tallman was formed in 1999 in Toronto Canada. The band released their Debut EP "Inoculation" later that year gaining the praise of fans and critics alike; The Tracks "Blinder Point of You" and "Tarnished" on Garageband.com are from that EP. Tallman played shows across southern Ontario and began to win over a loyal fan base. In 2000 Tallman recorded some new material including the tracks "Chokehold" and "Cope" also found on this site. In 2001 Tallman formed the Record Company Aperture Music with private investors as a means of recording a full-length album and delivering to the public. The bands Demos caught the ears of producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down, Deftones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and more. In August of 2001 Tallman traveled to Weed California to record the tracks for their debut full-length album in Sylvia's brand new Radio Star Studios. The recording took two and half months. The vocal tracks started on Sept 11, 2001. The tragic events of that day lent a new relevance to the already aggressive and politically relevant material that Tallman had written. The Album, titled "Mechanism" was Mastered in New York City by Howie Weinberg just six weeks after the attacks on the World Trade Center, allowing the band to view the destruction first hand. Mechanism was released in Ontario in March of 2002 and continues to gain acceptance and praise from fans across North America. The band is currently touring to support this release. The intensity and emotion of Tallman's music takes on a whole new shape when witnessed live, and Tallman's fan base continues to grow.
