Ace Lyrics

I see the anger in the back of your eyes
I know the vengeance running through your mind
You're up on the cross with a heart full of nails
Hanging your head low whenever you fail

You're thinking. Now's the time
You keep saying. Now's the time
But you still keep standing still
You're free now. Now's the time
It's over now. Now's the time
It's over now. Now's the time
And I believe. Now's the time to live

And there ain't a thing now that you can do
You expect everyone to have pity on you
Nobody else can put their life in your hands
So get up and move while you still have the chance

With all of your mind and all of your soul
And all of your heart, if you want to be smart
You've got a lot to give don't throw it away
You'll have your way some day, it will come to you

Let's see what you do with the rest of your days
You had it all and you gave some away
It's not going to matter when you're dead and gone
You be rewarded for the good that you've done

So quit thinking. Now's the time
And start doing. Now's the time
You've got a lot to live for
So quit crying. Now's the time
And start trying. Now's the time
Now's the time. Now's the time to live

You say you've been run through the lover's mill
But people are starving while you get your fill
There's no time for standing still
There; s another void that you can fulfill
That you can fulfill

Descendents are an American punk rock band from Lomita, California, USA. They are known for being one of the early bands in the hardcore punk scene to sing about more personal and comical topics reflective of their own lives.

They were formed in 1978 by guitarist Frank Navetta (RIP) , bassist Tony Lombardo and drummer Bill Stevenson. Shortly after forming they enlisted Milo Aukerman and made what started out a surf band into a full fledged punk unit. The Descendents diverged from their punk peers perhaps because of the Beach Boys influences and sang about topics that touched many young punks' lives like parents, food, girls and being rejected.

This band separated due to Milo actually going to college (UCSD), like the title of their album. This and other constraints have made them famous for their long hiatuses, sometimes spanning a decade in length. The band is now spread out across the country and their future is somewhat uncertain. Lead singer Milo Aukerman currently resides in Newark, Delaware. He is a biochemist for the internationally known DuPont Chemical company, which is based out of Delaware. However, whenever the end of the Descendents seems to be approaching, Milo pops up again and the band releases a new record.

They have released 7 full length albums:
* Milo Goes to College (1982)
* I Don't Want to Grow Up (1985)
* Enjoy! (1986)
* All (1987)
* Everything Sucks (1996)
* Cool To Be You (2004)
* Hypercaffium Spazzinate (2016) Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
