Sick-O-Me Lyrics

new love, new fun, new me
isnt that the way its supposed to be
new fear, nothings clear to me
and thats how its always gonna be
ive never been real sure of myself
never trusted someone else
something in you puts my fears to rest

well bring it up and never touch the ground
and when you need me ill be around
this is how its gonna be if you dont get sick of me

she loved me and i loved her
it was all so fun and new
we were going to go all over the world
and do everything there is to do
but something spoiled out plans
we couldnt meet our own demands
every problem put us to the test

we brought it up and we let it down
and when she needed me i wasnt around
that was how it had to be then she just got sick of me

relationships deteriorate ive seen it from the start
easy as it is to fall in love, its easier to fall apart
i wont let it fall apart

bring it up and never touch the ground
and when you need me ill be around
this is how its gonna be if you dont get sick of me

well hold it up and never let it down
and when you need me ill be around
this is how its gotta be so you dont get sick of me
so you dont get sick of me
so you dont get sick of me

Descendents are an American punk rock band from Lomita, California, USA. They are known for being one of the early bands in the hardcore punk scene to sing about more personal and comical topics reflective of their own lives.

They were formed in 1978 by guitarist Frank Navetta (RIP) , bassist Tony Lombardo and drummer Bill Stevenson. Shortly after forming they enlisted Milo Aukerman and made what started out a surf band into a full fledged punk unit. The Descendents diverged from their punk peers perhaps because of the Beach Boys influences and sang about topics that touched many young punks' lives like parents, food, girls and being rejected.

This band separated due to Milo actually going to college (UCSD), like the title of their album. This and other constraints have made them famous for their long hiatuses, sometimes spanning a decade in length. The band is now spread out across the country and their future is somewhat uncertain. Lead singer Milo Aukerman currently resides in Newark, Delaware. He is a biochemist for the internationally known DuPont Chemical company, which is based out of Delaware. However, whenever the end of the Descendents seems to be approaching, Milo pops up again and the band releases a new record.

They have released 7 full length albums:
* Milo Goes to College (1982)
* I Don't Want to Grow Up (1985)
* Enjoy! (1986)
* All (1987)
* Everything Sucks (1996)
* Cool To Be You (2004)
* Hypercaffium Spazzinate (2016) Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
