Blinded by the Truth Lyrics

You say I'm made in wanton disarray
You tell me I'm awake when I'm not
I am lost for words
And as I wait for the morsels
Drifting down from your finest golden plate
I am lost, I am lost for words

There is a world it's
Growing out of the shadows
Don't be lost, don't be lost for words

I didn't ask you to save me, to change me
Beguile me or in time to betray me
For all of the things you've learned

Show me the one who gave you the truth
I'll show you a man, just a man standing before you
Are they the words that are helping to raise your heart again
Or is it the love that you needed was always so much nearer than before
We were blinded by the truth

In different times, the lost and hopeful mind
Found meaning in the skies and sanction down below
But now the world is changing
The lights are always on, the lights are always on

There is a world it's growing out of the shadows
Don't be lost, don't be lost for words

I didn't ask you to save me, to change me
Beguile me or in time to betray me
For all of the things you've learned

Show me the one who gave you the truth
I'll show you a man, just a man standing before you
Are they the words that are helping to raise your heart again
Or is it the love that you needed was always so much nearer than before
We were blinded by the truth

I will not raise you with words
Vain glory displays are the blight of our age
For I must raise you with love
And help you to dream the meaning of your life

Show me the one who gave you the truth
I'll show you a man, just a man standing before you
Are they the words that are helping to raise your heart again
Or is it the love that you needed was always so much nearer than before
We were blinded by the truth
