The Great Unknown Lyrics

Here's to the great unknown
You have searched me and you know
You knew before I rose that I would fall
A word upon my lips that won't let go
You heard it all a million years ago

Where can I run away, where can I flee
You follow me even to the dark where I can't see

So down into the darkness I must go
Looking for a place to call my home
Rising on the wings of the dawn

Hope is a mirror, this I know
If you were staring back at me
Then I'm sure you'd be there to break my fall
There to bring me
Hope as all lovers know
Is always turning back to love in hope
You'd be there to break my fall
Into the great unknow
Into the great unknow
There to break my fall

Here's to the great unknown
The future is past, I know
Tomorrow was a dream I have let go
Each moment is a shock to all I've known
Was written by I a man that I wish I'd known
If there is a day for you and me
That day is here
Tomorrow is too bright for us to see

So down into the darkness I must go
Looking for a past that won't let go
Rising on the wings of the dawn

Hope is a mirror, this I know
If you were staring back at me
Then I'm sure you'd be there to break my fall
There to bring me
Hope as all lovers know
Is always turning back to love in hope
But you're not there to break me

There is no future to fear
There is no past
There is no time to redeem
There is no past
It is time just to live in the moments in between

Hope is a mirror, this I know
If you were staring back at me
Then I'm sure that you'd be there to break my fall
There to bring me
Hope as all lovers know
Is always turning back to love in hope
That you'd be there to break my fall
Into the great unknown
I love the great unknown
It's there to make you
